This is the first Naval appointment we’ve had. It is on vellum, signed by President Teddy Roosevelt, and includes a seal and a fabulous engraving of elements representing the sea at the bottom.  It is for an Assistant Surgeon in the Navy and was also signed by Secretary of the Navy Truman Newberry. In a solid wood frame with t gold rim.
